Christina (Nina) J. Banfield
Attorney
Christina “Nina” Banfield joined Harris, Creech, Ward & Blackerby, P.A. as an associate attorney in January 2018. After having been with Harris Creech for the entirety of her young legal career, she was made a partner with the firm in January 2026.
Prior to joining Harris Creech, Nina attended Wake Forest University School of Law. While working towards her Juris Doctor degree, she was a member of the Wake Forest Law Review from 2015 to 2017, serving on the Board of Editors from 2016 to 2017. Nina also had the honor of arguing before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 2017, while a member of the Appellate Advocacy Clinic.
Prior to law school, Nina received her Bachelor of Arts in linguistics and a minor in history in 2014 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, graduating magna cum laude as a member of the Chancellor's Honor Program. Nina is also an alum of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Delta Pi Chapter, which she joined during her time at UT.
When she is not in the office advocating for her clients, Nina spends time with her husband and young daughter, and remains involved in the local New Bern theatre community. Additionally, since January 2025, Nina has served on the Board of Directors for Riverside Leadership Academy, Craven County’s first public charter school.
